The 3 Vallées ski area and its 600 kilometres of ski runs are full of surprises. Whether you're looking for a dizzying downhill thrill or a summit with a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding area, you should easily find what you're looking for in Les 3 Vallées.

There are so many splendid itineraries waiting for you in the region, but which ones should you choose for your next mountain break? To help you, we've selected three of the most emblematic. Cime Caron, Pointe de la Masse, Mont Vallon... Find out why these routes are so popular with winter sports fans.

Cime Caron: an emblematic summit to discover

With a peak culminating at 3,200 metres, Cime Caron offers a majestic 360° panorama of the giants of the Alps (Mont-Blanc, etc.). To reach such an altitude, a cable car takes you to the summit. Built in 1982, this historic lift, once one of the most impressive in the world, has recently been renovated.

At the top of Cime Caron, skiers can enjoy wilder landscapes of rock, fresh snow and even silence. It's a chance to switch off and enjoy nature in all its splendour. In fact, a number of spectacular runs await you on this route, including Combe de Caron and Combe de Rosaël, but these are reserved for very experienced skiers.

Pointe de la Masse: a spectacular panorama

At an altitude of 2,804 metres, Pointe de la Masse is no less impressive for all that. First of all, an exceptional panorama awaits you at the summit, as the entire Alpine mountain range can be seen from up there, from Mont Blanc to the Écrins.

Accessible by ski lift, the Pointe de la Masse, also known for its hiking trails, is a great playground for winter sports enthusiasts. There are several descents to choose from, for almost all abilities. Less frequented than its neighbours, it also benefits from unspoilt nature and a more intimate environment.

At the Pointe de la Masse, there's even a panoramic terrace where you can take in the raw scenery before setting off on one of the blue, red or black runs. Itineraries not to be missed!

Mont Vallon: an impressive vertical drop for experts

Finally, we invite you to take a look at Mont Vallon, and more specifically its 1,000 metre-high red run, known as "la Combe du Vallon". Situated at an altitude of 2,952 metres, Mont Vallon offers a privileged view of the Gebroulaz glacier: the largest in the 3 Vallées ski area.

This high-mountain spot is also accessible to beginners, as all you have to do is take a lift to the top, then head back down the same route to avoid the red and black pistes on Mont Vallon. Fancy the experience?

From Cime Caron to Mont Vallon, several breathtaking ski itineraries await you in the 3 Vallées. Col de la Loze, Saulire, Col du Fruit... In fact, there are plenty of other iconic spots to choose from during your stay in the region. It's up to you to choose your next sporting challenge with your esf instructor!
