Ski touring in the 3 Vallées: a huge playground
The first winter sport we invite you to discover with esf les 3 Vallées is ski touring. With your guide, you'll set off to explore some of the Alps' most emblematic unspoilt areas, far from the most popular pistes.
Used to the great outdoors, your esf guide will teach you more about the flora and fauna of the 3 Vallées, as well as how to use your new ski equipment, such as sealskins.
Do you know anything about the DVA system? Probe, shovel... All your safety equipment will also be provided and shown to you by your guide to raise your awareness of avalanches and help you become more independent off-piste. In terms of scenery, there's plenty to surprise you on a ski tour!

Freeride in Les 3 Vallées: off-piste skiing with the ESF
Another variant of downhill skiing to try? Freeride. As the name suggests, this is a free sport associated with off-piste skiing. This winter sport simply allows you to ski on undeveloped natural terrain. There are no marked runs or predefined modules, just pure nature.
No timed runs, no set courses, no crowds... Freeride is freedom! Our esf les 3 Vallées instructors are ready to help you discover some of the most enchanting freeride spots in the French Alps, so you can experience powder and steep slopes like you've never seen them before.
